Donald Trump tops Google Image search results for 'idiot' and it's all thanks to American punk rockers Green Day

Donald Trump once claimed he has one of the "highest IQs" around but someone might want to tell that to Google .

Eagle-eyed internet users have pointed out that Donald Trump is the top image result if you search for the word 'idiot' - which might come as a blow to the self-proclaimed 'stable genius'.


The Donald appears in 6 out of the 15 entries for the word idiot for users in the UK, according to the Independent.


The cheeky algorithm glitch has something to do with Trump's recent trip to the UK which saw thousands of people line the streets of London to protest his four-day visit.

Green Day's iconic 2004 anthem American Idiot has been surging up the British music charts to coincide with Trump's stay.

The petition has urged social media users to buy a copy of the single to show their dissatisfaction over his invitation to these shores by the UK government.

NME and Popsugar have all written articles about the campaign, helping to push Trump's visage right to the top of the results page.

Other entries for the query show the face of Green Day front man Billy Joe Armstrong as well as Ash Sarkar, who became recently became known for calling GMB Britain host Piers Morgan an 'idiot' on live TV last week.
