Over the years, there have been many, many rumors surrounding live-action Halo movie and TV show adaptations. Despite living in development hell since its initially planned 2015 release date, Paramount+'s Halo TV show

" target="_blank" rel="noopener">actually seems to be happening and releasing in 2022. The cast list has already been announced for the show and seems like it's looking pretty solid. Pablo Schreiber has been cast as humanity's savior, the Master Chief, but he isn't the hyper-famous Hollywood celebrity that people might have been expecting. Here's everything you need to know about the man behind the helmet, Pablo Schreiber.

Past Roles

Pablo Schreiber is most well known for his role in Netflix's Orange Is the New Black where he dons a thick mustache and plays a deplorable prison guard known by the inmates as "Pornstache." While Pornstache himself does some pretty horrific things, Schreiber's portrayal of him is excellent and award-worthy. He also played Kris "Tanto" Paronto in Michael Bay's film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi and appears in Den of Thieves as Ray Marrimen. His other major acting credits include roles in Starz' American Gods and The Wire.

This will be Schreiber's first time playing a video game character on screen. He has, however, appeared in one game as additional voices in the form of "Asylum Staff" in Rockstar's Manhunt 2. He hasn't done any other game related roles other than Master Chief and the somewhat random voices in Manhunt, but, who knows, this may be a place where Schreiber finds great success.

The Halo series ended up back in headlines today as two leaked images of the show surfaced online. One is of an actor in full UNSC marine attire and the other is of the iconic warthog.
