We're having a blinding summer in good 'ol Blighty right now (it's so hot I can't even wear my awesome Leon Kennedy jacket), and apparently Hitman is too, as developer IO Interactive is celebrating the weather by offering the Marrakesh level free for a limited time.

The sun-soaked stage comes as part of the new Hitman Summer Pack, which can be downloaded for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from today until July 31. What's more, any progress you make can be transferred to the full game if you decide to take the plunge.

Marrakesh made up Episode 3 of Agent 47's globe-trotting 2016 adventure, and offers up a wealth of content to sink your teeth into. Aside from the location itself, which is ripe to explore, you can tackle quests such as the Gilded Cage story mission, eight Escalation Contracts, over 90 challenges, plus unlock seven Achievements & Trophies.

The Summer Pack also throws in the ICA Facility Location, which includes an additional two story missions and Escalation Contracts, a whopping 17 Achievements/Trophies, plus over 40 challenges.

Hitman 2 is due for release on PS4, PC, and Xbox One on November 13, although unlike its predecessor won't be going down the episodic route. You can, however, slap someone in the face with a fish, which is automatically a day-one purchase as far as I'm concerned.

If you love your gaming tat like me, then you'll also be pleased to learn the Hitman 2 Collector's Edition features a lovely Agent 47 rubber duck. Aww!
