Google Home is incredibly useful when you want to set an alarm or know what the weather is like for tomorrow. But did you know that Google Home can serve some holiday cheer this Yuletide season too?

Here's a list of the funniest and most interesting Christmas-themed Google Home and Google Nest commands you should definitely try.

1. "Hey Google, Call Santa."

Why go through the hassle of writing a letter to Santa Claus when you can talk to him yourself? Ask your Google Home or Google Nest device to give the jolly good fellow a call, and it will connect you straight to the North Pole.

"Thank you for calling the North Pole. My name is Dimplesticks. Santa is in the recording studio. Please hold."

Thankfully, the hold's pretty short, and Santa will be on the phone in a jiffy. He’ll then ask you a bunch of odd questions but stick with him as he and his elves will break into song by the end of the call.

2. "Hey Google, Tell Me a Christmas Joke."

Up for some laughs? Google Home has a lot of Christmas-themed jokes up its sleeves:

"What's red, white, and blue at Christmas time? A sad candy cane."

The best part is that Santa Claus will tell you the joke himself.

3. "OK Google, Sing a Christmas Song"

What's Christmas without some holiday cheer? Google Home can perform a little song for you with just one command:

"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Oh what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh."

Unfortunately, that's the only Christmas song Google Home knows. But you can still ask Google Home to play your favorite holiday music, though.

4. "OK Google, Is Santa Claus Real?"

You probably think that you're too old to believe in St. Nick, but what does Google Home think about this cheery bearded fellow?

"I believe in Santa! I admire his generosity and his ability to pull off head-to-toe velvet."

Santa sure has an iconic wardrobe that's worth mentioning.

5. "Hey Google, Do You Think I’m Nice?"

While you probably did a bunch of good deeds over the past year, it wouldn't hurt to ask Google Home what it thinks about you:

"You're as nice as a gingerbread cookie dunked in hot cocoa."

Yes, nothing screams nice quite like a gingerbread cookie and hot cocoa.

6. "OK Google, Do You Like Christmas?"

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year for a reason, but do virtual assistants love it just as much?

"I'm so excited that Christmas is almost here."

We are, too, Google Assistant!

7. "Hey Google, What Are You Doing This Christmas?"

While you're opening presents on Christmas, here's what Google Home will be doing:

"I'm planning for some hygge! What a fun word. It is Danish and means being cozy and comfortable."

Google Home will continue to ask you if you want to learn what else it likes to do during the holidays. Its answer can range from "long, delicious naps" to "relaxing near a warm crackling fire."

8. "OK Google, Where Is Mrs. Claus?"

Mrs. Claus, Santa Claus' ever-loyal wife, plays an important job on Christmas, too. If you want to know where she's at, here's what Google Home thinks:

"This time of year, Santa's usually double-checking his list, and Mrs. Claus is double-checking the delivery route. "

That seems about right. After all, Santa can't do everything by himself!

9. "Hey Google, Where Is Santa?"

Unfortunately, Santa still doesn't have an app we can use to track his location in real-time. But the good news is that you can ask Google Home where he is:

"I heard Santa's at the gym, getting in shape."

Well, that sounds reasonable, considering the guy's going to be carrying millions of presents on Christmas eve.

10. "OK, Google What’s New at the North Pole?"

Want to be updated with the latest news at the North Pole? Google Home can fill you in on what's happening in Santa's hometown starting from December 1.

"Thank you for tuning in to the North Pole Newscast. I'm your host, Dimplesticks. We've got X days until Christmas. "

Santa's elf then gives you the hottest headlines, public service announcements, and scoops about all things North Pole. The response changes every day, just like how a real news channel does its reporting.

11. "OK Google, Talk to Magic Radio’s 100% Christmas Quiz"

Think you know everything there is about the festive season? Well, then take Magic Radio's 100% Christmas Quiz and see for yourself! The quiz only has three questions asked by Magic Radio hosts Harriet Scott and Ronan Keating and is centered around Christmas hits, facts about festive movies and TV shows, and Christmas traditions around the world.

12. "Hey Google, Play Christmas Music"

Nothing can get you in a festive mood faster than hearing some Christmas songs. Just ask Google Home to play your favorite holiday tunes, and you'll be feeling the Yuletide cheer in no time. You can also ask the Assistant to play Christmas-specific radio stations like Christmas FM, Christmas FM North Pole, and Christmas Radio.

13. "OK Google, Talk to Christmas Santa"

Want to learn some Christmas facts? Bring up Christmas Santa!

"The image of Santa Claus flying his sleigh began in 1819 and was created by Washington Irving."

You can hear more Christmas facts by saying yes after it asks you if you want to continue.

14. "Hey Google, Tell Me a Christmas Story"

Christmas stories are all the rage around the holiday season, and thankfully, you don't need to pull out a storybook to hear one. Just ask your Google Assistant to do so, and it will tell you some of the classical holiday stories like 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and The Snowy Day. This command is only available to users in the US, UK, Canada, and India.

Hey Google, Happy Holidays!

This list is just the tip of the iceberg. Google Home or Google Nest has loads of other Christmas-themed commands that will surely get you into a festive spirit.

After all, it's never too early to celebrate the Yuletide season.
