Could this finally be Verdansk’s nuclear event?

Call of Duty: Warzone’s zombie infection has spread all through Verdansk, but it seems the undead menace is finally about to meet its match: total destruction. On Tuesday, the Call of Duty Twitter account tweeted an ominous teaser that hints at an apocalyptic event on the horizon.

While this tweet is certainly mysterious, it isn’t too hard to figure out the basics. It seems that some kind of extremely destructive event is on its way to Verdansk. In fact, based on the bright yellow, we could even hazard a guess that the event could be nuclear in nature.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that there have been a few hints at nuclear events in the past few weeks, including an accidental missile launch.

Whatever this event is, it seems like it’s all centered around ridding Verdansk of the zombie infection that’s been rampaging around the map all season. The infection has already spread as far north as the Superstore, so perhaps the only solution is to bomb the map and destroy it completely.

Not so coincidentally, we should be due for the start of another season for both Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, which would be the perfect time for Raven Software to bring a massive update and rework to Verdansk if it really does get destroyed.

Whatever happens, you can check out the event by logging into Warzone at 3 p.m. EDT.
