One in ten millennials have hired a handyman just to hang a picture, according to a new survey.
In the poll of 1,000 people, 11 per cent of those aged 24 to 39 said they ‘couldn’t be bothered’ to hammer a nail into a wall to complete the job themselves.
Millennials also hired a tradesman to complete other minor DIY tasks such as changing a lampshade or putting up shelves, the poll by Checkatrade found.
A spokesman said: ‘The UK’s can-do DIY high tide has retreated.’
