Harrowing footage shows an alleged knifeman moments before he was shot and left critically wounded after reportedly attacking police in Denmark.
The 24-year-old man was shot after he lunged at a patrol officer with a knife near a bus on Karen Blixen's Boulevard in Brabrand, a suburb of Aarhus, at around 1pm on Monday, police said.
He remains in a critical condition. It was not immediately clear how many times the man was shot.
The night before the incident, the man had visited the Grimhoj Mosque for the first time, according to Danish news reports.

Danish broadcaster Danmarks Radio said he had attended a prayer last night before returning with a knife the following day.
Attendees at the mosque then alerted the police, noticing that he seemed to be disturbed, Danish media said.

In an update on Twitter, the force said the Independent Police Appeals Authority is now investigating the officer-involved shooting.
In a statement, the police prosecutor's office said it had launched a probe and sent investigators to the site.
The office added that it would like to speak to witnesses or anyone who may have information on the case.
