A transgender woman who was considering gender reassignment surgery says she is glad she decided to keep her penis after 'finally' realising she is attracted to women.

Jolene Dawson,  from Australia's Gold Coast, claims she went on 100 dates and matched with 1,000 men on Tinder over the past few months as she struggled to work out her sexuality - but has since come out to her parents 'for the third time', this time as a lesbian.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline this week, the 21-year-old, who was born male but identifies as a woman, said: 'I realised I didn't want to be a man, why would I want to be with one? 

'I've had some really amazing dates with a lot of older, wealthy men and I'm excited to start dating women now.

'I'm glad I've kept my penis now, that really helps. It all started four weeks ago when I started dating a couple and found myself enjoying the sex with the other woman more.

'I also had more feelings for the other woman and had to remove myself from the relationship so I can start exploring this new avenue. 

'I think the dynamic with women is very different and now I can't wait to find a woman I can take care of and take shopping and spoil.'

Jolene added: 'This is the third time I've had to come out to my family, first as a gay boy, then as a trans woman and now as a lesbian.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, the 21-year-old, who was born male but identifies as a woman, said: 'I realised I didn't want to be a man, why would I want to be with one?'

'I've officially changed my Tinder settings to [looking for] women. I think it's important for people to know that these changes happen and to embrace them.'  

Last year, Jolene told MailOnline how she has spent a staggering $92,500 AUD (£50,622) on cosmetic procedures including forehead fillers and jaw slimming in a bid to look like a Bratz doll.   

She is also planning to have her Adam's apple removed and her belly button 'sewn up' in the next phase of her Bratz transformation.

And while Jolene admits her physical appearance attracts a lot of passing glances, she insists pays no heed to unwanted attention or cruel comments.

'I've always been really confident,' she said. 'If somebody doesn’t like me, it’s more a missed opportunity for them.'

Jolene has a strict policy of being '100 per cent open' with potential romantic partners, saying: 'If you're going home with me, you're going home with all of me.

'And if you don't want all of me, then I don't want all of you.'
