'Brazil who?' Croatian World Cup beauty queen celebrates her country's shock quarter-final win after she was earlier stopped by 'rude' security who asked fans NOT to take photos with her, in a latex outfit at odds with Qatar's usual modesty rules

Croatian Instagram model Ivana Knoll is celebrating her country's shock quarter-final win, as they sealed a 4-2 penalty shoot-out victory over favourites Brazil

Knoll, who was previously crowned Miss Croatia, has been attracting plenty of attention in the Middle East after jetting over for the major tournament - had revealed stadium security in Qatar prevented her from taking photos with fans ahead of her country's World Cup quarter-final against Brazil.

During Croatia's opening fixture, a group of grinning Qatari fans could be seen taking pictures of the 30-year-old as she walked down stairs in a red and white bikini top and tight red leggings.

Yet Mohammed Hassan Al-Jefairi, a prominent Qatari entrepreneur, later claimed the men were only snapping away because they disapproved of her outfit.

Knoll is in attendance for Croatia's pivotal showdown with Brazil in Al Rayyan on Friday, where the two countries are battling it out for a potential semi-final clash against Holland or Argentina.

However, before kick-off at the Education City Stadium the scantily-dressed model was asked by security guards not to take any photos of herself or with fans.

She told Bild: 'They don't allow the fans to take photos with me or pose for photos down here on the railing. I then asked them why they were so rude.'

Knoll has amassed 1.8 million followers on Instagram over the past fortnight after catching the eyes of fans across the world during the World Cup.

Her racy outfits are somewhat at odds with Qatar's usual modesty laws, which urges women to cover their shoulders and avoid wearing short skirts.

The social-media star has not exactly complied with those instructions, though up until being stopped by security on Friday she had been enjoying herself in the country.

'It's really great. No one has ever told me to cover up,' Knoll said this week.

'Everyone wants photos with me, even the locals. Only on Twitter was there a negative reaction from a Qatari. But he probably just wanted attention.'

Croatia knocked tournament favourites Brazil out of the 2022 World Cup 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in their quarter-final clash.

Ivana Knoll has revealed how she is also rooting for England because her dream is to see a Croatia against England final.

Croatian model Ivana 26, dubbed the World Cup’s ‘sexiest fan’, has been turning heads while attending Croatia’s World Cup games in Muslim conservative Qatar with her busty displays while dressed in skimpy, eye-catching clothing in the colours of her national team.

The quarter-final line up sees Croatia take on Brazil tonight while England face France on Saturday night. If they win, both England and Croatia will avoid each other in the semi-finals meaning they could possibly meet in the final on 18 December.

Ms Knoll said: ‘I’m a big fan of the Premier League and love English football. It would be a dream to see Croatia play England in the final.

‘Obviously I’m cheering for Croatia but on Saturday night, I’ll be an England fan. I really want them to beat France. It would be very exciting for me to see the two teams that I like to be in the final.’

She added: ‘Sadly, I don’t have a ticket. So if there is anybody out there who can give me a ticket I would be very grateful. It would be very exciting for me to see England in action at such an important game.’

Ms Knoll admitted that she admired England captain Harry Kane’s footballing skills but had a soft spot for his teammate Mason Mount.

She added: ‘Mason’s a very good player but he’s also the best-looking player in the England team and I’d love to meet him one day.’

Since making her debut in revealing outfits at Croatia’s first World Cup game, Ms Knoll has amassed 200,000 Instagram followers per day. She currently has a total of 1.7 million followers after regularly posting pictures of herself both in stadiums and on the beach in Qatar.

While in stadiums, dozens of fans have been posing for selfies with Ms Knoll and she revealed that that she had also received several marriage proposals from locals contacting her through social media.

Ms Knoll said: ‘I’m very shocked at how I’ve been so positively received. Before I came to Qatar I was worried that I might be arrested for dressing like this, but the reaction has been the complete opposite.

‘It’s wonderful to see that my independence as a woman and culture is being respected by the Qataris.’

Ms Knoll insisted that her outfits are not designed to offend Islamic culture and that she would cover up if she was asked to by authorities.

She added: ‘The security at the stadiums have not asked me to cover up at all. In fact they love seeing me and queue up to take pictures with me.

‘I know the authorities have said that female fans should dress modestly. The dress code forbids showing shoulders, knees, belly and other parts of the body. But it seems that once they saw me, they forgot about their own advice.’
