A couple have blasted Edinburgh's famous Christmas market after complaining about spending £14 on two potatoes on sticks and £15 on a dessert for two during their visit.
Travel blogger Abbie Wilson shared a video of her and her boyfriend's visit to the Scottish market earlier this week, compiling the amount of money they spent during their stay on TikTok.
Viewers were appalled as Abbie said they paid £43 for two on food alone during the outing, as well as £22.50 on an attraction, taking the overall amount of money spent to £65.50.

The Christmas market organiser Uniquessembly told Femail that the market and neighbouring businesses offer 'something to suit every taste and every pocket' and that residents can enjoy a 20 per cent off discount on all ticketed attractions.
Abbie's video shared clips of the food she and her boyfriend ordered at the market, which is one of the UK's most popular.
Two potatoes sliced in swirls, which Abbie called 'chip sticks' cost the pair £7 each, and mini pancakes in chocolate sauce set them back £15.
She added the pair also spent £6 on tea and a black coffee, and as well as £8 for a serving of chips and currywurst, which they shared.
Meanwhile, the market's big wheel cost £10 per person, and the couple explained online they actually paid a booking fee, taking their ticket price to £11.25 per person.
Abbie shared the prices on her TikTok clip, adding in the caption: 'all whilst being packed in like sardines.'
She later said in her comments that she was 'gobsmacked' by the prices on display at the market.
Viewers were not impressed with the prices of the food items the blogger documented during her outing.
One person simply wrote: 'Robbery,' while another pointed out: '£7 each for a tattie on a stick.'
Viewers were appalled as Abbie said they paid £43 for two on food alone, with some saying the pricing made them faint
One joked: 'I fainted several times whilst watching this,' and another said 'scared for our bank accounts.'
Another person said the potatoes on a stick cost £5 last year and that they were a 'rip off.'
UniqueAssembly, the organisers of Edinburgh’s Christmas, commented: 'There is a wide range of festive food and drink offering across all areas of Edinburgh’s Christmas - at the Christmas Market, SantaLand in West Princes Street Gardens and the Lidl on Ice Experience on George Street.
'Visitors can enjoy everything from curry to hot smoked salmon, pizza to pancakes, German sausages to loaded fries and a wide range of sweet treats - there is something to suit every taste and every pocket.
Edinburgh (EH postcode) residents can also enjoy a 20 per cent discount on all ticketed attractions to help spread some festive cheer,' they added.
'We are delighted that we have been able to rescue this year’s Edinburgh’s Christmas plans at short notice but with only six weeks preparation time from taking over the Edinburgh’s Christmas contract to opening our doors at the end of November, it was not possible to include everything we dreamed of for this year.'
