Seems as though once-Great Britain has just experienced a series of Trump stinkbombs, the biggest of which is his public callout of PM May.
She must be seething and Boris Johnson must be showing all his teeth.
My favorite of Trump’s stinkers was his denouncement of Sadiq Khan. But you’ll look long and hard on Google to find it. Same with Duck Duck Go. I don’t have the patience to look for the quote I saw regarding London’s soaring crime rate but it’s out there if you parse your search just right.

I would not want to have 100’s of EU regulations on everything I buy. A toothbrush or a bath towel has huge costs added in compliance costs to EU regulations. I would want thousands of regulations allowing me to throw them all out.

I have two favorite EU regulations (one made it to the books, the other failed):
1. The vacuum cleaner regulation. Someone decided within the EU that there had to be a maximum power for vacuum cleaners...deciding upon 1600 watts. Yes, they spent some time writing this, and then voted upon it. Most people will say it’s silly but it’s law.
2. The vinegar regulation. It didn’t pass. If you walk into a European Greek or Italian restaurant...on the table will be a non-descrip vinegar and olive oil bottle. They fill it from a bulk container in the back. Every table will have one of each. The EU wanted to demand that labels be on the bottles, so you’d have to buy special containers, and spend more. Once this got out (it was secretly discussed for weeks)...it took 10 days to dissolve the draft.
There are EU regulations for the maximum curvature for produce like cucumbers. It cannot be sold if it curves too much. Can’t the buyer just decide if they want to buy it How much loss does this cost their farmers?
