School Shooting Was Outcome of Broward County School Board Policy
CTH ^ | 02/19/18 | sundance

full title:School Shooting Was Outcome of Broward County School Board Policy – Now Local and National Politicians Weaponize Kids for Ideological Intents… CTH has intentionally stayed away from discussion of the Parkland school shooting as we watched and reviewed the response. However, it’s time to call the Broward School Board officials to task and simultaneously prepare the class-action lawyers to cripple the system.

Broward County schools intentionally created polices from 2010 through 2016 that culminated in the 2018 mass school shooting in Parkland. We know this with great specificity because five years ago we warned Broward County Florida school board members this could happen.

...County administrators and School Superintendents told local and county law enforcement officers to stop arresting students...

Eye opening but not unexpected. Of course, the norm in ultra democrat, ultra liberal Broward County, Florida.
No consequences for bad behavior is now a Democrat norm. What else would you expect from growing up like this.
Broward county shows once again that it is the armpit of Florida.

dontreadthis :" School Shooting Was Outcome of Broward County School Board Policy – Now Local and National Politicians Weaponize Kids for Ideological Intents…"

Why did the upset students NOT NOTIFY THE SHERIFF,
until AFTER the assault, and the make their complaint ?
What happened to (DHS) : "Hear something, see something,..say something"
The suddenly indignant students and the school system have chastened the accountability to central government, (ie: the Feds!)
whereas they had first hand observations.

You'd think at least someone on the board would stand up and say, "We blew it". They haul our money around in armor plated vehicles with armed guards at the ready. But then leave these school targets wide open for full blown mental cases and terrorists while the FBI, the local school, students and local cops sat and did nothing about this ticking time bomb, all while Cruz was doing everything but waving his arms screaming, "I will kill you all"!

And what do all these people do? They blame the President of the United States.

I give CTH great credit for bringing this up, but at this point the evidence linking Cruz with Diversion programs is hidden, and will be hard to unhide.

Proving that “Diversion” (whereby the school systems and PDs/SDs in Miami-Dade and Broward County left it up to schools to deal with serious crimes by students so that “minority” males would not generate all those pesky statistical disparities) kept Cruz from having a criminal conviction that would have a) had him in jail or mental health lockup; or b) at least caused him to fail a background check for buying a firearm — is .

Lawsuits by victims’ families might be the only way to force this into the open, via discovery. Even then, it will probably be covered up — the agencies will settle rather than let the public know the truth.

Someone posted this yesterday. These is the preamble to the “agreement between the School District, the State, and the LEO’s:

(I think you can see the genesis of the problem in Broward County Schools)
(I also see multiple lawsuits from the families of the dead and wounded)

Here are the opening Wherases in the document! I am underewhelmed! They call the end result sought as COMMON SENSE DISCIPLINE!

I don’t know about you but my butt cheeks tighten whenever a government official starts talking about COMMON SENSE, because they have little or none of it!

Somewhere the idea of the protection of the student body is left out!

WHEREAS, the parties acknowledge that law enforcement plays an essential role in maintaining safety in the community. However, the use of arrests and referrals to the criminal justice system may decrease a student’s chance of graduation, entering higher education, joining the military, and getting a job.

WHEREAS, in the 2011-2012 school year, the Department of Juvenile Justice reported 1,062 school-related arrests in Broward County, the highest number in the state. 71% of these arrests were for misdemeanor offenses. Over half of those students had never been referred to the Juvenile Justice System before.

WHEREAS, across the country, students of color, students with disabilities and LGBTQ students are disproportionately impacted by school-based arrests for the same behavior as their peers.

WHEREAS, The Florida Legislature “encourage[s] schools to use alternatives to expulsion or referral to law enforcement agencies by addressing disruptive behavior through restitution, civil citation, teen court, neighborhood restorative justice, or similar programs” and has instructed school districts “that zero-tolerance policies are not intended to be rigorously applied to petty acts of misconduct and misdemeanors, including, but not limited to, minor fights or disturbances.”

WHEREAS, with a joint commitment to ending school-based arrests for minor misbehavior, school districts and law enforcement agencies across the country have improved school safety, school engagement and academic achievement. The parties to this agreement are confident that by working together, they can return Broward County Public Schools to a culture of common sense discipline that allows all students to enjoy a safe and effective education.

I knew something was up the way the principal evaded questions and the MSM did no follow up on the students warnings given to the administration about his weird and threatening behavior.

These guys never learn that the mass shooting and killing take place in “Gun Free Zone”. Did a mass shooting happened ever in a police station? No. Because the people inside have guns.

I’ve been posting this here for two days with minimal response. Glad that Sundance got it out there. This program provides sanctuary for all criminal juvenile delinquents in the Broward school system (5th largest in country.)

The NAACP has brokered a groundbreaking collaborative agreement on school discipline with Broward County Public Schools, law enforcement and its community partners.

Juvenile delinquents RULE the schools. Victims and their families should be outraged at their school’s discipline code and preparing to sue the BC School board and Sheriff’s office for this collaboration. Nikolas Cruz was never busted at school because of the 2013 NAACP collaborative discipline policy:

http://www.ncjfcj.org/sites/default/files/Broward%20Co%20Collaborative%20Agreement%20on%20School%20Discipline%20-%20MOU.pdf

Broward County’s School Discipline ‘Agreement” signed by the Sheriff, State Atty and local judges. Its purpose is to keep minority juvenile delinquents out of prison by not enforcing Florida state laws in schools.

These various behaviors will NOT result in suspension or expulsion or notification to the police. Instead they receive warnings, lectures and possible stern scolding!

The infractions include -All student misbehavior and these non-violent infractions:

Disrupting or Interfering with class
Affray - fighting in a public place
Theft if less than $300
Vandalism damages < $1,000
Disorderly conduct
Trespassing, Loitering or Prowling
Criminal Mischief
Gambling
Harrassment or Threats
Alcohol -all related offenses
Possession of Cannabis
Drug Paraphernalia
Obstructing Justice w/out Violence

“Go ahead kids. Smoke pot, booze it up, fight, THREATEN a teacher and tear the bloody place up! The NAACP & Broward schools & their sheriff got your back. Since your family has failed to discipline, a sanctuary program for criminal youth continues at your school.
