appears that Republican At-Large U.S. Rep. Kevin Cramer might have just been playing hard to get when he announced in January that he would not challenge Democratic U.S. Sen. Heidi Heitkamp in November. Today, he has reversed himself, putting the race into the Toss Up column.

Heidi must go , but don't your breathe waiting for ND moving to tilt GOP. Despite "President Trump carried North Dakota with 63 percent, while Hoeven was re-elected to the U.S. Senate with 78 percent."

Heidi will easily win. ND and SD elect Dems so they can get their share of the federal trough.

That depends on whether Democrats take over Congress.

Trump is popular in the Great Plains states so he could help Republicans take over Senate seats there.

Red State Democrats are vulnerable.

Not Heidi. She's a genuine Blue Dog.

And ND loves them some federal pork too.

Yeah, she’s a total blue dog. She voted against Obamacare...oh wait...but she voted for the tax cuts...oh, wait... but surely she voted for SOMETHING important that would show what a ‘blue dog she is’, right? **Crickets**

Maybe you’re right that she won’t lose, but she’s consistently voted with the far left and claiming she’s a ‘blue dog’ is laughable. There are no ‘blue dogs’ and you know that as well as anyone.

Your tune might change when Trump comes in and starts doing giant rallies on her turf.

Maybe, maybe not - but you made a lot of pessimistic predictions like that back 2014 that were thankfully all wrong. I hope your record does not improve - and I don’t mean that as an insult, of course.

Most local ND talk radio has been VERY anti-Heidi for almost a year now, even with her brother having his own talk radio program.

She's elected because ND wants to get in on the federal trough. For decades, they've (and SD) elected conservatives. Now at least one of their two Senators are always Democrats.

Which also explains why Hoeven and Rounds are flaming RINOs too.

Getting a piece of the federal pie will always trump ideology. Not cheering Heidi and I hope she loses, but it's the sad truth in politics today.

ND and SD elect Dems so they can get their share of the federal trough.

This is the congressional delegation from the Dakotas:

U.S. House: Kristi Noem (Republican - South Dakota), Kevin Cramer (Republican - North Dakota)

U.S. Senate: John Thune (Republican - South Dakota), Mike Rounds (Republican - South Dakota), John Hoeven (Republican - North Dakota), Heidi Heitkamp (Democrat - North Dakota)

She's the only one of six that is a Democrat.

She messed around with a bloke named Bama
She loved him though he wasn’t natural born
He took her down to Washington town
And showed her how to spread the pork around

Heidi Heidi Heidi he!
Heidi Heidi Heidi GO.

Poor Min Poor Min Poor Min

“She’s a genuine Blue Dog. “

This thing is not a Blue Dog. She’s an Ed Schultz grade leftist - her family has had ties with Schultz for decades. Party first, always. Pro obama care, pro sanctuary city.

I see potential here for Cramer to pull it off. ND did love it’s pork when the voting base was predominantly agriculture related. Bigger farms mean fewer farm owners, fewer ag-pork voters.

North and South Dakota had too many Rat Senators for red states. Tiny Tom, Johnson, + that spectacled one who looked like a member of the 3rd Reich. Janklow killed somebody giving that House seat to the one with the pretty face. Montana has the same problem. Republicans just don’t try hard enough. Even Then hs gone flaky. He should run for Gov and Noem for Senate.
