Texas girl diagnosed with devastating, inoperable brain tumor. Then something incredible happens, and doctors have no explanation.

Roxli Doss, an 11-year-old Texas girl, received a dire diagnosis of an inoperable and rare brain tumor in June. Despite local doctors insisting that there was no cure for her tumor, Roxli is tumor-free after the brain tumor inexplicably disappeared.

What are the details?

In June, doctors at Dell Children's Medical Center diagnosed Roxli with a tumor called a diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, or DIPG.

Dr. Virginia Harrod called the tumor "very rare" and "devastating."

"[The type of tumor] is very rare, but when we see it, it is a devastating disease," she explained. "You have decreased ability to swallow, sometimes vision loss, decreased ability to talk, [and] eventually even difficulty with breathing."

Roxli's parents, Scott and Gena, even went as far as to hold a benefit for their daughter in August.

Roxli endured several rounds of radiation therapy, though such therapy isn't a cure, according to KBMT-TV, but her parents continued to pray and believe for healing for their daughter.

"And we got it," Gena told the station.

Scott added, "Praise God, we did."

They saw their prayers were answered when their daughter's MRI came back without a trace of the tumor.

"When I first saw Roxli's MRI scan, it was actually unbelievable," Harrod told the station. "The tumor is undetectable on the MRI scan, which is really unusual."

What did the doctors say?

Doctors have no explanation as to how the tumor dissipated at all — let alone so fast.

"At Dell Children's, Texas Children's, at Dana-Farber, at John Hopkins, and MD Anderson, all agreed it was DIPG," Scott said, ever grateful that God healed his daughter.

"We didn't know how long she would be healthy and, look at her, she's just doing awesome," he added.

"Everyday we still [thank God]," Gena said. “It's kind of our family thing that God healed Roxli."
