I was hoping Dana could pull it off, and save the event.

But, Khabib was right all along.

Overall I think the cancellation works in the UFC
fans favor.

If khabib v Tony happens again and no one gets injured or pullout ww3 will happen to stop it for a 6th time.

For me, I don't care if they keep scheduling the fight for 100 more times. It's a numbers game.

I feel like this "adulation" is misdirected.

Yes the people who were calling Khabib a duck look like fools,even before the cancellation,but especially now.

Yes i thought this event was better off not happening,at the moment

But i dont celebrate that it has been cancelled,and dont take joy that MMA and life in general is so limiting at the moment.

I dont think most people really think beebs a duck, I'm personally just using him as a scapegoat for denying us one simple semblance of normal humanity: watching two professional athletes try to murder eachother.

Hell I've been calling him the dagestani duck in every other thread just to harass the bathtub brigade but there's no logical reason khabib would duck tony and should probably be the favorite.

I love khabib for humiliating conor and his fans and honestly became a huge fan the MOMENT he drop kicked Dillon Danis lmao I got nothin against Beebs but he definitely should've atleast gone with the show knowing full well it would get cancelled. Just terrible optics, dude shit on everyones parade and was rightly being ridiculed over it.

However as an American I don't blame him for fleeing our third world country back to the safe and humble mountains of his homeland.

Give us the faint hope that we were gonna get that slight distraction from the current fkin apocalypse.

Up until today(?) The fight was on and everyone was willing to go except for khabib. The excuse everyone is making is that he knew all along it wouldn't happen, so if he knew it was a no go for the past month just go with the show.

At the point that he pulled out he refused to fight on his own accord and shit on said parade which is why I understand him becoming a lightning rod for general disdain by a holed up quarantined public busy pulling their hair out tryna find toilet paper lol it was a temporary distraction from an all-encompassing shitshow, khabib took away that distraction on his own at the time. I totally get why people wanted be mad at him.
