Why are people mad at Dana for trying? Why are people gloating?

I really don't understand. He tried everything he could to get us a UFC. Isn't that what we wanted? He didn't try to prove he was above the lockdowns. He tried to work within the rules the best he could. He didn't try to smuggle Khabib out of Russia or throw him under the bus for being locked down (we were the ones throwing Khabib under the bus).
On the other side, why are people gloating and celebrating like this is some kind of victory? I didn't think it would work out, but I was still willing to hold out hope for it cause I wanted to see some fights. I'm not devastated because I didn't expect it to happen, but I'm certainly not celebrating or "I told you so"-ing. What the fuck people?

Oh look, another thread on the same topic as 18 other threads.

Do you truly believe he was doing it for the fans?

The Just Greed God failed. Deal wit it!

Dana played you... this was the plan all along... act like UFC 249 is gonna happen then cancel... to get more media coverage...

Because it was horribly irresponsible to run the event anyway?

It's like being thrilled that you successfully proved to your wife she was cheating on you

this is why I personally advocate that Sherdog forums restrict New Threads to just 3 per member per calendar month, regardless of their Belt-Status (above white belts that is). It would go quite a long way to unclogging the UFC Discussions I think.

There's so many threads created every single day, and many of them are essentially duplicates.
Just my view on that.

Because some people see him as the boogeyman

Because it was clearly just about money and he saw no issue with doubling the amount of doctors at an event when they're needed to be fighting a pandemic

The only gloating I see is from those who predicted it wouldn't happen against those who still thought it would. Just like predicting the winner of a fight and gloating after they win.

That's pretty much what we do here.

God damn it...you always ruin my angry responses with decent posts.

I still hate the fact people are celebrating this. Fuck man, this is a fight fan site after all. But maybe in some weird way people celebrating is a way to handle the bad news.

Some sad retards with not much else going on in their lives...and Khabib russian bot fans.

To you, "I told you so" is some kind of celebration? That doesn't make any sense.

For instance, I wanted so bad that UFC 249 and the other ones could happen, but what I don't accept is people talking nonsense, believing, because the known liar Dana White told them he would make the event at some island or Mars, and people clap their hands to him because of this kind of BULLSHIT.

I don't get it... Why people is so stupid to believe in this liar? He only wanted attention like any attention-whore out there. When the meeting with Trump said they wouldn't do shit until they are allowed to, it was MASTER OF THE OBVIOUS it wouldn't happen. So, why people kept dreaming shit? Just wake up.

Now, like I said here
https://forums.sherdog.com/threads/...ghts-tmz-sports.4099589/page-3#post-159806061
the same stupid people will clap their hands because he tried, but the reality is another: HE KNEW HE COULDN'T DO SHIT and said all those things knowing it. I mean, what's the point? Why accepting reality is so difficult for the majority of the people? If he had tried ok, but he didn't try shit, his lying behaviour over these years assure that to me.

There's just something satisfying about watching the baldfather make huge claims and fail to follow through. Normally don't bask in others failures, but dana has such an ego about him that it's just hard not to enjoy watching it slip through his fingers and he knows he dosen't have a leg to stand on anymore.
