Hey you guys its your boy ironkhan57 with a random irrelevant story to the stand up forum lol.

So now ik how to go light. And how to go hard. so earlier this week i sparred with a kid who has been training for 3 months.

Now this kid is trying to fight mma. And every now and then the instructors try to get someone to spar with me. But not much people are ACTUALLY training to fight. It is a UFC gym that is owned by an instructor i knew before the gym opened up but he also knows frankie edgar so edgar sponsors the gym. Now ik this gym is not pure bull shit because 2 of the instructors are legit and i've actually taken there classes at other gyms that they taught at before they started teaching here so they are legit and actually train fighters.

Heres the thing tho. They know im training for a fight in march. So they do try to get me people to spar with. Now this kid 21 years old (ik a year younger lol but im actually going to be 23 in april lol). They got him to spar with me.

Now we werent going hard or anything. We werent even going 75. We went 60. And there were some people in the gym watching. This gym opened up last nov. But keep in mind it is in a boujie ass area and thats one of the reasons why i like living in the hood and training in gyms in those areas.

Now his head coach talked to me today (there were 2 instructors who organized it, and one of them was kind of the ref but he was making sure none of us were going crazy). So he told me people who were not trainint fighters or anything were saying that we were beating the shit out of each other. I did explain to him we're cool we werent trying to kill each other. And i let him know we werent throwing at a 100 power. And i also explained to him that some people do think when they hear a sound after you hit a punch on the headgear that it was a full power strike (that means it was good technique.not full power).

And he actually explained to me that he doesnt want me sparring with him because i have been training longer and that hes training him to fight mma. But i let him know that if the kid needs help training for a fight i can help not just sparring but drilling wise.

I just really don't get why he didnt talk to the 2 instructors that were there and organized the shit rather then the people around. And yes i've lived in boujie areas my whole life. So ik better then anyone how much of some bitchy people are there. That get scared or that want "civil" gym training ettiquette. What do ya'll think about this interesting term of events.

I think that's a minute of my life I won't get back after reading that.

You don't exactly have world class skills but you can crack a bit with that right hand, it buts you in a awkward position, where your a bit dangerous for the inexperienced guys but don't really have the skills for the more experienced fighters. Your going to have to go lighter on the inexperienced fighters or sharpen up so you can hang with the better guys.

First round was light. Then the instructor wanted us to turn it up in the second. and then the third we went a little more hardwr once my headgear got knocked off. I was being nice to him in there tho.
