My wife and I have been separated since the first week of October and have only a few days ago started talking again. Today, I went to go buy a new tree and met a beautiful woman that owned the nursery. We made out and have a date set for tonight.

I want more than anything to get my wife back, but we had a conversation the other day that seemed to be a "you'll always be special but goodbye" sort of thing.

So if I bang this chick before we're divorced, is it cheating?

Yes it's still cheating, but if your marriage is already dead it won't affect your zero chance of reconciliation but it could affect the divorce.

Honestly I'd ask your lawyer.

So what's the point of being separated if you can't go mingle with other people? Like, what's the point of separating? I've never understood the concept. You're either married or not.

Anyways this is quantum cheating, if your wife is deadset on splitting then no it's not cheating but if there's a glimmer of hope in either of youses' hearts then yes it is cheating, if you're the only one with hope to reconcile then you have cheated on yourself.

Ah, that makes sense. So then then answer to this dude's question is, no. It's not cheating. If "separating" is the time to go find yourself i.e go bang other people, then people should just go for it.

If you have to make the division of property and she has some evidence that you have been cheating on her, you will receive shit.

I didn't even think of her as a damn lumberjack. She was wearing plaid and waiders though.

If you really want her back, it's not a good idea to go banging other women. It will matter to her, and if she ever asks you if you did, you want to be able to honestly answer "no".
