Dillian Whyte vs. Oscar Rivas Finalized For July 20 in London

Ppv... Hahaha

Have to imagine something decent will be on the undercard. Or not

This is a joke. Dillian has to fight for the number one spot at the WBC the one he's already occupied for over a year! Still it shouldn't be too hard for him.

At least it will be entertaining I suppose.

Its a better fight than Fury/Schwarz but its pretty depressing that we seemingly have no top HW vs top HW fight on the horizon. Theres a chance the AJ situation could possibly still turn out okay fingers crossed, but Fury has Schwarz, Whyte has Rivas, Wilder has Breazele, thats the top 4 committed until late 2019 and not against each other. Then outside of those Usyk isnt rushing into big HW fights (reasonable enough in fairness to him), Povetkin is vs TBA. Parker, Ortiz, Pulev have nothing booked.

Thankfully these things can turn around pretty fast, but the HW scene is just looking like a waste of potential right now.

I'm surprised they're not saving Rivas for Fury. But I like this fight. I think it's good for Whyte. He should be able to win and it's a decent name for his record.

I'm hoping Kaboom strikes again like he did against Jennings. All it takes is one punch and Whyte isn't a defensive genius.

Sad Whyte didn't get his title shot yet, he earned it long ago, pay the man.

Plus I think Whyte's skills are being severely underrated af here. his jab was solid af against Parker.

Not many people know but he was also Europe's K1 champion, and has in fact beaten Anthony Joshua in the amateurs(though both were young)

He easily beats everyone outside the obvious 3 giants.

Am I the only one who doesn't hate this fight? Lmao

Not a bad fight. Whyte shouldn’t lose, but if he does it would be hilarious.

When are we gonna see Whyte vs Josh/Wilder, he's earned it by now ffs

Whyte turned down a fight with AJ because he wanted more money on the contract and if he did win he'd be earning less than AJ in the rematch.

The WBC fucked over Whyte by making Breazeale mandatory instead of him. No idea how they thought Breazeale deserved it more than Whyte.

WBC is being disgraceful with their treatment of Whyte but after Wilder beats Breazeale they'll have nowhere to hide.

Either Wilder signs a mega fight or he bucks up and faces Whyte instead of avoiding him which he's obviously doing.

Lol at the WBC they really don't want dillain to have that number 1 spot. Which he earned three fights ago by beating Lucas Browne.

Sounds like Ortiz will get another crack at wilder before whyte does as well, based on what was in the media last week

Breazeale is the mandatory so id imagine they won’t order another mandatory next (I’m not sure how it all works in all honesty). I don’t think he’ll choose to fight whyte. He’s already said recently that whyte has to beat Ortiz to get a crack at him? It’s nonsense

Poor Whyte lmao he can't get a shot at one belt 'cause the guy doesn't want it, and the other 3 belts he'd have to swallow his pride and accept less than what he thinks he's worth.

Im just speculating here but I think Wilder could be more inclined to fight Whyte now without Hearn involved. It offers a bigger pay day as well, and a better notch on his resume.
