Kevin Lee.....Too Much Pride or does he need more time in the oven?

Did Pride do him in again or does he just need to get better

Gotta say I enjoy it when a person runs his mouth and it does not go their way.

Was it his ego that did him in? Or is he just not quite there yet skill wise?

He's a cocky fool who underestimates his opponents. Next time he better respect his opponent like a true fighter and keep his mouth shut. You cant follow the Mcgregor model if you dont have the skillset to back it up.

never seen a guy that was already beaten once come in so cocky and confident. But it was all for show

overconfidence probably didn't help.

i think al just has his number. if i were lee, i would have gone all in on the TD attempts. he obviously overestimated his striking ability relative to al's, it's never going to be his bread and butter.

I like Kevin but he needs to relax a little with the showmanship. That’s who he is and it’ll make him a lot of money, but he has to put the performance in the cage first.

wasn't just him, did you see that betting line? i couldn't believe it was up over -300, that was way too much.

Bad gameplan, he was trying to prove a point by outstriking Al, and his corner did him no favors.

Needs to work on putting it all together

I'm gonna grapple against this guy
I'm gonna strike against this guy

No
Do both
Always!
One opens up the other

100% ego. Where did he look good/win rounds yet he's still choosing to stand.

He needs to work on his boxing...all he needs is a good "power" 1,2

Neither.

Hes a glass jaw rat with no tank.

Feed him to Gillespie at 155

Or move him to 170

He’s the black Erick Silva

Both.

He carries himself like he's one of the best fighters in the world but doesn't have the skills to back it up. He seemed like a really good prospect but seems like he's hit ceiling as a gatekeeper. He could get better but seems like his ego will get the best of him.

Overall I think his style is very conservative
He could punch harder if he wanted to
And I think he could risk more on the ground for the sake of submissions and gnp
He strikes for points, and holds onto body triangles instead of advancing for finishes
Maybe if he was fighting at 165 he'd have the energy to be more aggressive

I don't believe Erick Silva ever did anything as impressive as Kevin vs Chiesa & Edson.

If Koscheck can learn striking and KO guys, Kevin can fine tune his striking and develop some confidence where he doesn't look afraid of a guy unafraid of him throwing strikes at him. He is probably aware his KO resistance isn't top notch.

Maybe he should shrink his muscles a bit to be like GSP (not too big, not too skinny) in his prime for the sake of his gas tank.

Imagine the dark void of self-awareness required to underestimate a guy who's already besmirched you
