Hey champ. I agree with your analysis. Conventionally speaking Shakur should be looking to secure what analysts refer to as “lead foot dominance” in order to take the outside angle. Doing so will allow him to get off the center line while simultaneously enabling him to line up his straight left hand. You'd think that Shakur, being a southpaw with plenty of amateur experience, would already know to do this. It's something that should've been drilled into him by now when fighting orthodox opponents. I find it odd that his angling and overall positional awareness is nonexistent. I noticed that Anthony Joshua is in the same boat when a southpaw is standing across from him. Neither Shakur nor Joshua understand what they should be doing in a so-called “open stance” match. It's head-scratching, really.
