On Amazon. Truly a great movie!
'With his incredible talent for discerning scents, Jean-Baptiste Grenouille is one of 18th-century France's finest perfumers. He becomes obsessed with capturing an elusive aroma: The scent of young womanhood. His search takes a deadly turn, and when the bodies of 12 young females are found, panic breaks out, with families rushing to lock up their daughters.'

One of those obscure movies that I really enjoy.

Outstanding film.

The book is even better but the film is still really good.

No idea why its relatively "unknown" good acting, interesting story and set in a cool time period.

Deserves more than it received.

The follow up movie to this one is currently on Netflix. "The Perfumier," 2022.
It is horrible. It comes nowhere close to the original from 2006.
The women from the original movie are truly beautiful. Some get fully naked.

Really it was a pretty major release at the time with a $60 million budget but I'm guessing the content was a little to much for mainstream US/UK audiences used to rather bland period dramas from Hollywood.

Great book, wrote a book report on it when I was 13, lol. Will check out the movie, TY!

book was amazing, but i didn't think you could make a movie out of it by properly conveying the sensations decribed. felt impossible to me. somehow they did it and did it in an amazing way. Movie is fantastic and everyone in it seems very well cast.
it's a 10/10 from me, easily.
