News Canelo Alvarez targeting GGG in September, will rematch Dmitry Bivol after

david-benavidez_11plkz8vf5ucr134sioac33n8g.jpg

After Canelo takes another L from Bivol he's gotta deal with this monster.

GGG doesn't hit nearly as hard as he did in his prime, it was visible that he was putting all he had against Murata, and the guy kept coming, I had never seen someone take that many punches from the Kazak and remain standing for so long.
plus his cardio, that was never his strength, has gotten way worse..
It's going to be hard to seem getting tkoed by Canelo before round 6.
I really don't understand this fight, and GGG is probably looking for a payday before he retires.

The first part is very smart... move down to SMW again.... but then don't move back up. Stay there and dominate @ MW/SMW if you can.

IF Canelo leans out and regains his mobility and speed it should be another victory over GGG. It doesn't always work that way, though, and that jump up in weight may have fucked him up at least in the short term.

Canelo 4 to 1 favorite ATM. Might lay down a little on Gennady stoppage. I think both are gonna go for the knockout and start fast.

Imagine Bivol's legacy IF (and it's a big if) he beats Canelo, then beats Beterbiev and unifies at LHW, and then beats Canelo again.

Honestly though, i couldn't care less who wins out of Bivol and Biev, i just want to see it.

Golovkin is 40, far less active than he was and would be moving up a weight class. That's a bad combo for him and I don't think this fight will be be nearly as big as the first two.

I'd rather Canelo vs Benavidez and GGG vs Eubank or Andrade at this point.

i used to think so too, but i think he's too tough for his own good.

he'll take a horrendous beating, but he'll stay in the fight. and i will hate every fucking second of it.
This.

GGG is never getting stopped.

This is exactly why it didn't make sense for GGG to jump out and push for another fight with a Charlo or Benavidez.
Now with Canelo tied up for 2 more fights potentially 3 if there is a rubber match, Charlo Plant & DB need to fight eachother.

Corner/ref will save him from himself if Canelo doesnt turn his lights off.

I think if GGG gets stopped it will be from body shots, I think Murata hit him with a few good ones too.

Canelo is going to smash him.

Tough way to get a final massive payday, but good on GGG.

The Bivol rematch ends the same way or Bivol stops Canelo.

Yeah, I'm a huge GGG fan but I don't think he survives a third bout with Canelo. Not to the final bell, anyway. He looked like Father Time had caught him in his last bout.
Canelo saw it.

Golovkin hasn't looked good since the Canelo fights. I thought Derevyanchenko beat him and that was back in 2019. He's only aged even more since then. Derevyanchenko also managed to visibly hurt him to the body in that fight. At 40 years old looking more vulnerable than ever and being pulled up in weight Canelo stops him. He's looked well past it for the last several years now. This is just a cash out fight for him.
