The Rise of Conor McGregor

Check out this mini-documentary by MTV on two-time Cage Warriors champion Conor McGregor, who makes his UFC debut against Marcus Brimage in Sweden on April 6.

Well worth 17 minutes of your time.

This guy in all his wins, has Ko's or Tko, except one fight. Also, his two loses were by submissions. His striking looks very good.

Can't wait for this fight. Held Lightweight and Featherweight Cage Warriors belt, ko artist and trains with Gunnar Nelson. What's not to like. Will be interested to see what happens when he is given a wrestler.

His last fight was awesome, but got me worried.

This strategy of taunting and keeping your hands low to lure counterstrikes can either make you look like a god, or make you look like a fool. I hope he does not get a rude awakening when he hits the big leagues.

Once he gets to the big dogs at 145 like Aldo, Mendes and Poirier he will struggle.

Sick necro.

I was there in attendance when Conor had his UFC debut. I remember being a fan of Brimage and not knowing much about him at that point. There was a small group of Irish fans who had taken the trip. They were getting drunk, throwing drinks and waving the Irish flag while being loud and obnoxious. Almost got in a scuffle with a few of them. Good times.
