And the pc culture. Not sure why big John hasn't been targeted. The racism in old cowboy movies is overt, and he is always slapping women and putting them "in there place".
 
Probably because he was gay.

You think so?

The franchise has made moves away from the sexism and racism where it was born. I haven't paid close attention but it seems to lean a little more PC now, and by PC I mean women have more meaningful roles and aren't called Pussy Galore.

I grew up on Bond films but grew out of them around the same time I grew out of Schwarzenegger films. As an adult I much prefer the Mission Impossible model for spy action, when the first one came out I felt it was doing right a lot of the things Bond was doing wrong. Craig came along and was a huge improvement from where the franchise had landed, and I really liked Casino Royale, but after that it was kind of dull and pointlessly over the top.

The Bond of my childhood has probably been gone since before most of you were born.

Because Sandy the Singing Cowboy was actually a bitch and not a Tough guy like he later tried to proclaim himself as and changed his stage name.

But seriously, who watches John Wayne movies?

I guess unemployed people who tear down statues must have the time to watch old movies to find things to be outraged at.
