Sony: PS5 pre-orders could have been a lot smoother, will release more consoles for pre-order over the next few days

Sony has admitted that pre-orders for PS5 could have gone "a lot smoother."

In a tweet issued today by the company, Sony apologized and said it will release more PS5 consoles for pre-order over the next few days.

Pre-order stock of the console has been selling out all over the place since the ability to drop the cash early went live. Amazon has even sent out notices to customers they may not receive their console on launch day due to high demand.

Sony kicked off pre-orders across various retailers worldwide on September 17, but many retailers starting taking pre-order the night before.

PS5 releases on November 12 in select regions, and November 19 worldwide. It will run you $499 for the standard version, and $399 for the digital console.
