Rushian Hepburn-Murphy's attempt to pass the time while in isolation has gone disastrously wrong after the Aston Villa forward smashed his own window while playing football out in the garden.

It's every child's worst nightmare – you're playing out in the back yard, enjoying a kick-about before you over-do it and hear that heart-sinking sound of glass shattering.

That is exactly what happened to Hepburn-Murphy on Wednesday as he shared footage of himself kicking a ball against his house before he overcooks a volley and smashes an upstairs window.

However, one volley goes horribly awry before it ends up smashing an upstairs window

The 21-year-old forward freezes on the spot after looking at the damage in disbelief

The incident is that much funnier because of the 21-year-old's reaction – he immediately freezes on the spot while he has his head in his hands for several seconds.

Hepburn-Murphy uploaded the footage to Instagram, making the stark assessment that the window is unlikely to get replaced due to the coronavirus pandemic.

'Can't even get anyone to fix that anytime soon,' he wrote.

The brilliant video saw plenty of his friends and team-mates flock to the post to laugh at his blunder.

Aston Villa team-mate Tyrone Mings couldn't help but make fun of the forward by saying: 'Raaaaaaah you never heard of double glazing bro.'

Tammy Abraham, Ryan Sessegnon, Sheyi Ojo, Marcus Edwards and Yannick Bolasie also took joy in Hepburn-Murphy's mishap.

Since graduating from Villa's academy, Hepburn-Murphy has enjoyed loan spells at Cambridge United and Tranmere Rovers, while he is currently on loan at Derby County but is yet to make an appearance for the senior side.

He has featured 17 times for Villa in all competitions but is yet to score a goal or provide an assist for the Villains.
