Newport’s current training base is council-owned and shared with the public. ‘I want a training ground built,’ said Flynn.

‘I don’t want the club wasting money that’s been made and 18 months down the line being skint and asking for money again. 


‘Whether the training ground is possible, it’s not my decision.

‘We definitely need to do something to have an asset.’
