Tyrell Malacia has opened up on his admiration for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag as the left-back closes in on a £13million switch to Old Trafford from Feyenoord.
The 22-year-old is expected to be the first signing of the Ten Hag revolution and was pictured being driven into Carrington, United's training base, on Monday as he wraps up the formalities of his move.
And speaking to Dutch publication De Telegraaf, Malacia explained why playing under Ten Hag was an enticing part of heading to the Premier League.

The left-back, a Holland international, has spoken glowingly about United boss Erik ten Hag
'Mr Ten Hag is a very good trainer and also a warm person, so I had a good conversation with him and I have a very good feeling with him,' Malacia said.
'That's important, because if all goes well, we'll work together for years. I'm looking forward to that, because I think I can learn a lot from him, he makes players who want to work hard better.'
Malacia also revealed that his admiration for Holland and United hero Robin van Persie formed part of his desire to play for the Red Devils.
'I always followed Manchester United because Robin van Persie played there as a Feyenoord player. That's why I got an extra feeling with that.
'In the youth of Feyenoord we played a youth tournament at United and I said: "I will come back here one day". That has now come true and that is of course wonderful.'
Van Persie played for United from 2012 until 2015 and in his first season at the club, spearheaded the team's Premier League title triumph in Sir Alex Ferguson's final season as manager.

Malacia has five caps at international level with Holland and will compete alongside Luke Shaw and Alex Telles for a starting berth at United.

Ronaldo, 37, has told United that he wants to leave if the right offer comes in, although the club maintain he is not for sale.
He was absent from the start of pre-season training on Monday morning due to family reasons.
