available in different top sizes, the table can function as an office desk, conference table or as multiple workstations

‘in some ways, smart working will stay, and I think there is an ample void for proper design solutions to match these trends, explains robin rizzini, italian-british designer and collaborator for pedrali since june 2020.

the designer has introduced the minimalist, lightweight ‘toa’ table in a wider range of sizes. its large tops are supported by a solid die-cast aluminum frame with tapered bridge legs that get thinner towards the base. customizable with different finishes, the worksurface is made from either HPL laminate or solid wood to be easy to sanitize.

the minimalist design features discrete top-access power connection units

the toa table meets the various demands of the contemporary workplace thanks to its flexibility in dimension, finishes and cable management options,’ tells robin to designboom.

the ‘toa’ table helps create different settings for the user as it is suitable for light work offices, executive rooms and even residential spaces. it functions as a desk, conference table or as a boardroom table in its largest version with three legs. the top is subtly flexible. it offers three different types of top-access power connection units for discrete management of cables.

the foldable ‘toa’ folding screen can split up the original table into multiple workstations

the toa folding screen was designed with the same principle as the toa table,’ continues the designer. ‘they are both platforms with a structural core that can be dressed differently to meet your needs.

the ‘toa’ folding screen is an extremely lightweight, sound absorbing desktop panel that separates and defines workstations. it is freely movable and foldable for storage. with an inner metal structure, the design is upholstered in fabric with a zip to make it easy to remove, clean and maintain.

the acoustic panel creates a private area for concentrated work

the ‘toa’ folding screen meets the mobility and layout requirements of modern workspaces and social distancing needs. panels can be arranged in a ‘U’ shape to define a single 1-meter workstation, an ‘S’ shape for two facing workstations, or in an ‘L’ shape to extend your workspace to 1.5m. multiple screens can be added to create a variety of layouts.

the toa folding screen adds privacy. it is an effective way to partition work surfaces as its position and form can be frequently changed according to the needs of the team. whether in the office or home, the design focuses on the idea of creating a proper visual protection for work, concludes robin rizzini.
