Who doesn't love a crossover? Watching your favorite character from one show appear in another is the entire reason we have a Marvel franchise. Here are 12 examples of shows that did it well, and had us all saying, “Hey, that guy is in the other thing!”

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air And The Jeffersons

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air And The Jeffersons

NBC

The Jeffersons make two appearances in The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. First in the episode ”Will is from Mars,” when Will and Lisa encounter George and Wheezy at couples counseling. Both couples get into a massive argument with one another, leading to the repair of Will and Lisa’s relationship. The second appearance is in the finale of Fresh Prince when it is revealed that The Jeffersons buy The Banks’ former home.

In a TV event entitled “The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour" Jimmy Neutron and Timmy Turner switch universes which showed fans what the character would look like in each other’s animation style. The episode was a huge hit among people under eleven years old in 2004.

The Jetsons And The Flintstones

Hannah-Barbera

In the TV movie The Jetsons Meet The Flinstones, The Jetsons travel back in time in a time machine and meet, you guessed it, The Flinstones. Never has there been a better depiction of the future meeting the past, aside from the invention of Dippin’ Dots.

Mad About You And Friends

Lisa Kudrow had roles in both Mad About You and Friends at the same time. She played Phoebe on friends and a recurring waitress named Ursula in Mad About You. In order to keep both characters in the shows, the Friends creators suggested that Pheobe and Ursula could be twins. NBC agreed, which resulted in the two-part episode, “The One With Two Parts” on Friends, where Joey dates Ursula.

That's So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, And Hannah Montana

Tonight is the night, you’ve been waiting all week. You have the living room pull-out couch turned into a bed and microwaved cheese sticks, the biggest day in television is about to premiere. That’s So Raven, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and Hannah Montana are doing a crossover episode. “That’s So Sweet Life Of Hannah Montana” threw together the stars from all three shows resulting in the biggest moment of my childhood.

Family Matters And Full House

Family Matters And Full House

ABC

This was always such a thrill when its rerun would screen on Nick-At-Night. In the Full House episode, “Stephanie Gets Framed,” Stephanie is self-conscious about getting glasses until she meets Steve Urkel. Urkel teaches Steph to “make them laugh before they laugh at you.” Uncle Jesse also teaches him to walk like a Slinky.

New Girl And Brooklyn Nine-Nine

When the whole New Girl crew travels to New York City in the episode “Homecoming,” they run into several Brooklyn Nine-Nine characters. Jess meets Jake when he commandeers her car, then, Gina and Captain Holt at the precinct. Nick and Winston meet Charles Boyle in the subway. Brooklyn 99 also got a cameo out of Zoey Deschanel when they replicated the scene where Jake commandeers her vehicle.

The Simpsons And Futurama

Matt Groening’s two most popular endeavors The Simpsons and Futurama probably could have crossed over much more often, but we did get the episode “Simpsorama.” In this episode of The Simpsons Bender is sent back from the future to kill Homer Simpson in order to save New New York. Bender can’t bring himself to do it after seeing how much he and Homer both love beer. The crisis is averted amongst many laughs, and everyone goes back to where they came from.

The Simpsons And Family Guy

FOX

The Family Guy episode, “The Simpsons Guy,” follows the Griffins as they end up in Springfield and stay with The Simpsons. This episode is loads of fun, with a massive big chicken-style fight between Homer and Peter. The episode also revolves around the theory that Pawtucket Patriot, is a cheap ripoff of Duff Beer, They are both ripoffs of Bud Rock.

Boy Meets World And Sabrina The Teenage Witch

Boy Meets World And Sabrina The Teenage Witch

ABC

In the Boy Meets World episode, “No Guts, No Cory,” Salem the cat from Sabrina The Teenage Witch teleports Cory, Topanga, and friends back to the 1940s. The oddest thing about this episode is it means witches are canon in the Boy Meets World universe. How many witches walk among them???

Archer And Bob's Burgers

In this bizarro season four opening of Archer, Archer becomes Bob Belcher from Bob’s Burgers, which is an easy switch as they are both voiced by Jon H. Benjamin. The episode was huge with fans of both shows, even though the Belchers look super creepy in Archer-style animation.

Phineas and Ferb And The Avengers

Phineas and Ferb And The Avengers

Disney

When Disney absorbed Marvel, the first show to take advantage of the IP was Phineas and Ferb which brought the Avengers in for a crossover episode called, “Phineas And Ferb: Mission Marvel,” Dr. Doofenshmirtz uses his “Powerdrain-inator” to, you guessed it, drain the power of the Avengers.
