Nick Santos from Tilt gave a great talk about using k8s inspired control loops in the design of Tilt at Kubecon NA 2021: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKF8v9X6hSE

Been a big fan of Tilt since I started using it early this year. Could definitely see Tilt slotting into the new Docker Desktop Dev Environments feature.

Congrats! I suggested it to my team while even in CLI stage as an alternative to skaffold

How does Tilt compare to Skaffold? (I just got skaffold set up)

I love Tilt! Been using it for over a year and can’t imagine life without it at this point. Congratulations to the Tilt team. Seems like a good partnership.

I thought Docker was moving away from developer tools. What is the direction the Docker company is headed? Does anyone know?

Docker sold its enterprise division and is now only focused on developer tools.

I talked with the CEO of Mirantis at the time (https://kubernetespodcast.com/episode/110-mirantis/) and I talked with Docker's CEO a couple of weeks ago (https://kubernetespodcast.com/episode/179-dockercon/). Both episodes offer good context as to the change in focus.

Thanks! Looks like I got their direction completely opposite :-)

I love tilt. Curious how fast Docker tries to monetize it (make it part of docker desktop)

So does this run dev environments in a remote k8s cluster a la garden et al?
