Yeah he was happy in the moment and couldn't control his emotions. The dude just beat the invincible Anderson Silva for a second time. That's a really big deal. He soon realized how unfortunate it was that Anderson broke his leg and felt bad. He even gave Anderson mad love in his post fight interview with Rogan. Weidman is a good dude.

In fairness, when a dude kicks you in the leg and falls to the mat screaming bloody murder, instant replay is not needed...

Weidman knew something bad happened to Silva on that leg kick and he chose to celebrate first. End of story. Whether or not it was a dick move is entirely up to the viewer.

But seriously, you think The Chris didn't feel or hear the snap? Add to that, The Chris himself said he knew he snapped it when he watched Anderson try to step back.
 
I guess Jacare, Rockhold, Romero and Mousasi were all better than Anderson. Anderson is lucky he only faced their bitch Weidman because even that was more than be could handle. TWICE.

He was checking on Anderson 10 seconds after it happened. This is why I say you hold fighters to unreasonable standards because you ignore all the other factors that comes with it. They are locked in a cage, they are pretty much sweating adrenaline and in this case it was the fight of his life against the GOAT for the belt. They are fighting, period.

These guys (well most of them) aren't robots. And it's not like he jumped on the octagon and went nuts. It was a half ass celebration for 10 seconds and he immediately went to check on Anderson but got pushed away.
