If I had to point to 1 thing and ONLY one thing, that was the biggest difference between winners and losers, it's that losers blame everyone else for everything bad that happens. And winners blame themselves.

Losers are always taking about getting screwed over by their boss, roommate, partner, friends, cops, government, system, etc.

I think at it's core, blaming others results in you never learning or improving yourself, because why would you go through that effort when someone would just screw you over again.

Whereas someone who recognizes and admits that at some point in your chain of failure, you made decisions that contributed to that failure, then you can learn and focus on making better choices in the future.

Is there any larger factor in determining who wins and who loses?

And how do you take a loser and convince them to stop blaming everyone else? I've tried many times and they just don't want to hear it, even though it would change their life for the better

I agree with 99%.

1% of the time this shit is valid. Some people are held further back before they could even crouch on the starting block.

"Losers are always whining about their best, winners go home and fuck the prom queen."

losers are in denial. for example when someone speaks truth or scientific facts (uncomfortable facts) they get angry and attack the messenger. This prevents them from growing and self reflection or figuring out the reality of the world and how to navigate it. Winners navigate the uncomfortable facts.

That's not completely accurate. It is for the losers, but successful people don't spend time sulking or blaming anyone, they focus on how to fix it.

We did a training course at work aboout this very subject the other. Sad part is the guys that have this negative mindset all claimed the course was useless

Still, I tend to favor...

I think people who make themselves winners are the ones who try new and ambitious things with the belief that they can adapt to those things and succeed without being discouraged from trying again if they fail. They also have great work ethics.

I think the best and most admirable winners are the ones who genuinely attain the skills they need to succeed in their endeavors instead of just using solely connections and the power of persuasion to get where they want to go.

Self-motivation. Confidence, but not delusional ego. Logical thinking. Open-mindedness.

Casting couch sex givers can be winners, but I guess not admirable.

I think that is part of it. The other is your mental attitude and a 'never quit' mentality.
