What are some of your go-to kitchen devices?

The slow cooker thread got me thinking about kitchen items I love, stuff I like but don't use frequently, and bad purchases.

Stuff we use literally all the time:

Espresso machine. This gets used almost daily. One of the best purchases.

Rice cooker! This usually gets used a few times per week. Couldn't live without it.

Sous vide. This was a great purchase. Not too expensive. Seen a lot of use.

Other solid items (most sits in garage due to lack of counter space):
-Dual-sided hot pot w/ burner. Love hot pot, but this is not much of a unique item maybe.
-Vitamix blender
-KitchenAid mixer and various attachments
-Breville Smart Scoop Ice Cream Maker. Made so much ice cream when I got it but haven't used it in almost a year.
-Various slow cookers, instapot, etc. These are ok but don't use them much.
-Toaster, toaster oven, waffle maker. These are ok but seldom used. Kids make toast and toast bagels and sandwiches sometimes.

Garbage items:
-SodaStream/drinkmate. Fun at first but never use.
-Bartesian Cocktail Maker. Gimmicky. Expensive. Doesn't taste good.
-Juicer. Useless.
-Bread machine. Easily can make bread with a mixer w/ dough attachment + oven.

I use my bread maker heaps... oh well, to each their own.

That... or vegetable steamer are most frequently used.

I just bought a Ninja Foodi Grill, a Ninja Foodi Blender and a Ninja Foodi Knife Set with a built in sharpener

The grill is an oven and air fryer also, so far Ive only used the oven and it works really well, too well in fact, I scorched my food the first couple times I used it, its small so you cant make huge dishes in there but it cuts your cook time in half compared to a regular oven

The blender comes with smoothie attachments and it works really good for smoothies which is all Ive made in it so far but it seems pretty powerful, I tried to make a snow cone in it todday and it shredded the ice cubes great but the ice got bunched up around the ice cubes on top couldnt work there way down to the blades, had to clear out the shredded ice and then shred the rest of the cubes
I put 3 whole trays of ice coves in thee though so next time I'll only put one tray at a time until I figure out the personality of the machine and get everything working smooth

The knives were really sharp outta the box and cut amazing, havent really used the sharpener yet

Blender for shakes for breakfast

Cast iron wok for scrambled eggs.

Jura coffee maker because we coffee dorks.

Yeah I love my sous vide machine, the potential is endless with that thing, steaks come out so good after a quick char.

I don’t really use kitchen gadgets
A hand blender or electric beater if you count them but they are more tools than gadgets imo

You really like that thing sir?
I never tried it myself, but would you recommend it?

Absolutely, they're easy and very effective, allows you to pre-plan as well.

A lot of people recommend getting the steak at the exact temperature you want and then charring with a blow torch. I don't like the char from this, way prefer bring to say 10 degrees to the target temp and then searing on a cast iron, way better imo.

Im gonna have to try that sir, thanks for the recco

Yep I've seen that method too, never tried it but might be worth an experiment.
Once saw a guy cook a lobster by holding it over a fire and dumping ladle after ladle of melted butter over it. It was consumed in flame with each ladleful. He said he never cooked lobster before but he did win the competition.
