Former Manchester United striker Giuseppe Rossi is continuing to train with the squad more than a month after first returning to Carrington.

The 32-year-old Italy international striker, who is a free agent after leaving Genoa last summer, is without a club amid a career blighted by serious injuries. 

Rossi, who came through the United academy, was seen arriving in the back of a taxi for training on Sunday morning.

The United first team squad were also seen arriving as they make final preparations for their FA Cup fifth round tie away to Chelsea on Monday night. 

Defenders Chris Smalling and Diogo Dalot were both photographed driving to United's headquarters in black Mercedes 4x4s.

Among the other players seen were out-of-favour £50million summer signing Fred, who will hope to make a rare appearance in the cup competition.

However interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may pick a side full of first team regulars, with the FA Cup representing United's best chance of silverware this season. 

They are fourth in the Premier League, having risen into Champions League contention after a strong run of for since Solskjaer replaced the sacked Jose Mourinho.

However their chances of glory in Europe this season were heavily hit by a 2-0 home defeat to PSG in their round of 16 clash on Tuesday.
