Ask HN: What is your favorite innovative company?

Would look to hear your thoughts on this. I have 3 main ones: • Stripe - they’ve been non stop launching new great products and the founders have an amazing vision of the company; • Tesla - wether you like Elon Musk or not, everyone can agree on how impressive it is for a 5-door sedan to have the fastest acceleration of any production car in the world; • Lilium - This is still a moonshot company but if they’re able to meet the targets of having flying cars operational by 2025 it’ll completely transform the mobility sector.

Controversial but Apple. I like that they keep things really simple and are really clear and focused about what they're trying to accomplish. I've been trying to go minimalist and often you need a rich and powerful role model to justify that cutting features will make more money.

MacBooks are probably not the best example. But the screens are clear and the processor is beautiful. Airpod and the old iPods were my favorite example. I also loved that Android rewrote their design when they saw the iPhone.

Cloudflare, we had a server costing 500 a month and crashing… moved to cf workers and we can scale to infinity at 1/20th the cost

Sun. Apple. Xerox PARC.

Some more recent ones: Amazon Web Services. Fly.

AWS is amazing, I’ve heard that it represents more than 50% of Amazon’s operating income.

cloudflare. I like how they solve a lot of interesting problem in very user friendly.

Didn’t think about Cloudfare, great choice!

Stripe, pal-v, skyroot and drift.
