After Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich was murdered in 2016, conservative lobbyist Jack Burkman baffled some people when he paid for a private investigation to find the killer.
Then in March, Burkman himself became the victim of a mysterious shooting and was hit by an SUV in a parking garage when he was picking up documents from someone he thought was an FBI whistleblower.
Using fingerprints, detectives tracked down the suspect and it turned out to be Kevin Doherty, a man who had worked for Burkman on the Seth Rich case.

How bad were Burkman’s injuries? Being shot and run over by a SUV, especially a Navigator, one of the big honchos in the SUV universe, is usually pretty bad, but not necessarily lethal. Very badly written article.

He’d been hired by friends of WJC to guard drug shipments into Arkansas.
The 2 boys had been in the wrong place at the wrong time; they’d SEEN drug packages dropped by air and worse, the bad men doing it had SEEN them see it.
They detained the two boys, then called up the big boss, BILL CLINTON, to ask what they should do with the boys:

And he said there was ANOTHER voice —a female one— screaming angrily in the background as Bill spoke:

She screamed that the whole time Bill and the guard talked.

So NOT an accident. Now think about this, if Rich had been murdered by ‘locals’ in a street crime, would they go to this extent to take out a detective looking into it? Would they even know where to start in getting that kind of hit set up? Is there any history of street criminals hiring professionals like these to take out a private eye, EVER? I seriously doubt it.
Sounds like the DC cover story over his killing is coming to a quick end.
