It's too bad Mr. Taylor, a man who claims to have the backs of those battling the demon of addiction, doesn't believe every American deserves the right to comprehensive, universal health care coverage and thus access to help and treatment. Or do only military vets have a valid "excuse" for succumbing to a chemical dependency?

I remember someone on here saying they "doubt anyone they work with is addicted to drugs because it's a professional place"

Drugs are what keeps America running, IMO

What a shabby take. A guy struggling with addiction founds a non profit to help others with addiction, but all you can see in that story is that he doesn't agree with your preferred policy position.

...so the man struggles with addiction and helped others (veterans) through his organization and @ultramanhyata saw dat R next to his name and hurried briskly to the karate forum to shit on him. Ahhh the troop ladies and gentleman

Well it's hard to take any conservative's prattling about addiction seriously when their healthcare plan can be easily summed up as follows;

Fuck you I've got mine.

Big pharma alone is 4% of the annual GDP.

Millions of people around the world are fully invested in our drug abuse.

The "preferred policy position" of ultramanhyata is that other people should be able to deal with such issues without being sentenced to unmanageable debt all for the sake of profits for the very rich. The Republican's policy position is....healthcare should be more expensive, should cover fewer people, and #MAGA. That he founded a self-aggrandizing nonprofit entitled Desert Eagle Addiction Recovery, from which I'm sure he derived some hefty salaries for himself, while opposing benefits for people not like him does not make him a hero. It makes him a regular pandering hack.

Yeah, the fact that he wants to "Support President Trump" and yet also lists "Shrink Government," "Uphold the Constitution," and "Fight For Rural Communities" shows he's a moron at best.

Yeah, that married father of 2 combat veteran who runs a non-profit to help veterans with addiction almost died. Suck it, Drumph. Against all odds, you pieces of shit regularly find a new low to sink to.

Lol. Most straight laced or non-leo people have no clue just how many recreational users are out there.

"Everyone"

Being the idiots that only exist on this forum jerking off every time Trump farts.

Nonsense. A key part of the story is that this man founded a non-profit to help others who have problems similar to his own. The whole point is that he is not only concerned with his own struggle against addiction.

I know the narrative you all have chosen here is that conservatives are selfish, and no doubt many are just as many lefties are. But this guy is being the opposite of selfish so not only does the criticism fall flat, but it comes off as mean-spirited.

Well just going actual off precedent set by the Republicans in Congress they don't even want to let people pay for insurance if they're already sick, let alone provide any sort of comprehensive plan or reform.

So you've lost me.

"The key part of the story is.. the Republican solution to the American healthcare crisis is to just maintain the status quo and hope wealthy individuals take care of the problem, if not oh well nothing can be done!"

I would have made the same thread about a candidate with a "D" after their name, too, if they were struggling with drug addiction, opposed to M4A, and claiming to be dedicated to helping others with the same affliction.

The moral absolute of health care as a human right is light years beyond party loyalty.

I bet if he gets elected he will still take Pharma lobby money.
One thing that crosses party lines is both sides are whores.
