Nobody wants to chance your mind.
That said, Gillespie is a real problem, but he is small for the weight class and pretty hittable.
Both could become a problem when he faces the Top 10 imo, or it might help him by being able to set a pace that those with huge cuts can't keep up with.
As for him not getting promoted or getting high profile fights, he is at least partially at fault himself.
He doesn't want big names or ranked fighters, doesn't care about promotion, doesn't call anyone out and mostly talks about fishing.
I appreciate his approach, but no wonder the UFC doesn't promote him.
We all know what they want to see, and he is by far not the only one who gets underpromoted.
Elizeu dos Santos and Luque have the same problems and they both have a fan-friendly style, bring it every time, and are on huge streaks over good opposition.
Yet they are too humble and get one shitty matchup after another.
