I just saw on Facebook there was a WMMA Fighter for Bellator who the company promot d as Harley Quinn. I don’t know if that is her actual moniker or whatever, but if I have to watch a crappy WMMA bout, I’d rather there be some added intrigue by making one of the characters colorful.

Needless to say I’m not an MMA purist. It’s the same reason I’d like to see Mike Jackson get another shot, this time on the early prelims. He’d get destroyed, but UFC has taken shots on early prelim fighters who got destroyed before. At least this one has a backstory you can either or like or dislike him for.

Anyway, it got me thinking about how many great fighters they are that just can’t market themselves for whatever reason.

Demian Maia has to be near the top for me. Dude is probably the best pure BJJ practioner in UFC history yet only got a title shot once he made it impossible for the UFC brass not to give him one. After he didn’t succeed there, I don’t see another shot ever happening for him.

Stipe by far. He's just so boring and lacks charisma.

Couldn't you have just titled this "Fighters who are the worst at marketing themselves?"

ill say aldo since hes one my favorites ever

Should keep the list English speakers only and White. Just joking about White.

any non-english speaking fighter. the language barrier is tough to overcome even if they have really awesome personalities in their native languages

Joe Duffy of I were him smack talk McGregor all day

Stipe has the least marketable name ever and charisma to match

True. He only recently broke the UFC PPV record. Not very impressive.

Might Mouse - Amazing fighter and top 5 goat. But his personality is comparable to a wet paper bag. He also holds the record for main eventing 3 of the lowest selling ppv's in ufc history.

Stipe: How come the baddest man on the planet sounds like he has gravel in his mouth when he talks ? He's got a nice highlight reel. But he needs to start calling out Brock Lesnar or Cain in his post fight interviews to get some buzz around his name and ditch that nice guy personality. Hell even ngannou was even more marketable than him.

And the least marketable fighter in the ufc is...... amanda nunes. Nunes trash talk is cringy and i'd rather hear nails scratching on a chalkboard. Not to mention her broken english doesn't help too.

Stipe by far. He needs to do something to change his boring next-door, good boy, father & firefighter persona and increase his likeability. Use some dick pills, run over a pregnant lady, throw a dolly at a bus full of people....anything!

Weidman, Stipe, tim sylvia, Mighty Mouse. Feel bad for some of them, because they did nothing wrong. It seems random how some people are disliked. People like Couture or Hughes didn't trash talk really, yet they are loved. Personality is a strange thing to define.

curtis blaydes
anyone try to sit through one of his interviews
