The MORE money he makes. The more money the suits at WME make. They didnt get into this business to run a charity. They got in it to make huge profit margins. That 500 million dollar crypto.com deal benefits Dana and the WME suits. The lesson to be learned here. Dont aspire to be a fighter. Dont aspire to be a champion. Aspire to be the guy behind several champions and the premier mma league. Be the suit.

I paid for the fights this weekend. Hooker and Moraes on the prelims, ranked fighters in every main card fight except the people's main event Diaz vs Lawler II

I intend to purchase Jan vs Glover as well. Easily the most excited I've been for a fight on paper in a while. But it does almost feel stupid doing so considering how little of the payout goes to the fighters outside the main events

In general....yes. But not all companies are like this. Some actually do care about people and the planet and things like that. Very few of them, but some do.

I am no affiliated with them at all but look at someone like Patagonia. They care and give back and haven't sold out. "In 2016, Patagonia pledged to contribute 100% of sales from Black Friday to environmental organizations, totaling $10 million"

Sure their stuff is expensive but you can't have it both ways.

This is true, though they do benefit with our data from the social media posts many of us make, cable television fees, UFC Fight pass and tickets for events when they come to town (at least they do from me)

Yeah they kinda get me there too a little bit and I did help create Frankenstein's monster. I used to order UFC ppvs all the time. Last one I legit paid for. Was Wand vs Chuck. Lol. I did help them on their way to becoming this juggernaut.
 
Sound exactly like arguments (probably) made in the 60s (I’m guessing) before the first 1968 Collective Bargaining agreement.

Ball players then had little to gain until massive television contracts sprung up. And then they wanted some of that revenue. Now, it’s a little different because the owners then actually HAD agreed to share tv money with the players and tried to renege. Still, if they hadn’t got their shit together they would have continued playing for peanuts.

The owners then claimed CBAs would kill their business model forever, just like automotive industries did when required to add seat belts, and just like Dana is today. My guess is Dana is also wrong.

He won’t give in without a fight though, that’s for sure.
