Similar to last year's release of Resident Evil 2, Capcom today announced that it will be releasing a public demo for the remake of Resident Evil 3 in the future.Capcom made the announcement today over on the official Resident Evil Twitter account where it was plainly stated that a demo for RE3 is set to arrive down the road. "A Resident Evil 3 Demo is on the way," said the tweet in question. "We'll have more details in the near future!"

As mentioned, Resident Evil 2 received a free demo last year prior to the game's arrival in early 2019. While we don't have specifics just yet on when Capcom plans to release the RE3 demo, it stands to reason that it will be prior to the game's release, much like RE2.

It's also worth noting that the demo for Resident Evil 2, at least upon first being released, was a timed demo that only allowed players to try the game for a set period of time. Capcom later re-released the demo long after RE2 had hit store shelves, however, and ended up removing the timed element from the trial. In all likelihood, I'd expect the demo for RE3 to be pretty similar in nature.

Resident Evil 3 will release later this year on April 3, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. We'll keep you posted when we hear more about the demo's release date from Capcom.
