Willian has confirmed that he will be wearing the No 10 shirt for Chelsea next season.

The 30-year-old revealed in an interview with Desimpedidos that he has been offered Eden Hazard's old number following the Belgian's £150million move to Real Madrid earlier this summer.

Blues new boy Christian Pulisic wore the No 24 during the club's pre-season defeat by Kawasaki Frontale while Callum Hudson-Odoi's future at Stamford Bridge remains up in the air.

After discussing the topic of Hazard leaving the club, Willian is reminded that the No 10 shirt is up for grabs.

However, the Brazil international spilled the beans on ditching the No 22 shirt.

He said: 'The No 10 is now mine. The club has said it will change [my shirt number] and it will be mine.

Willian is then asked about the importance of that shirt number but the Chelsea winger insists he has donned the No 10 for previous clubs and his country.

Willian continued: 'I have always liked playing with No 10.

'Since I was a kid playing indoors football, I have always used the No 10. At Corinthians I was also No 10.'
