Dead Cells has sold 3.5 million copies, Fatal Falls DLC announced

Motion Twin and Evil Empire announced the twenty-second major update to Dead Cells today, marking the second paid DLC for the game since it went into Steam’s Early Access in 2017.

The Fatal Falls DLC will introduce a significant amount of new content to Dead Cells early next year for $4.99. The two companies also revealed the game has surpassed more than 3.5 million copies sold.

A new teaser trailer teasing two mid-game areas dropped today, giving you a taste of what's to come.

In it, you can expect two new biomes, as well as a new boss, parallels to the Stilt Village, Clock Tower, and Time Keeper areas and their alternate paths.

These additions will provide significant new options for middle-run exploration and new ways to succumb to death. The update is also dropping plenty of new weapons.

Dead Cells is a Castlevania-inspired platformer with the added bonus of permadeath looming, where you’ll die, kill something, and learn your lesson in order to survive.

The game boasts a range of weapons and gadgets and is high risk with big rewards.

Many times, you will find yourself trapped in a loop of death before the solution becomes clear.

"If you’re a glutton for punishment, then you need to check out Dead Cells yesterday," says VG247's Alex Donaldson.
