Retired fisherman and gardener into growing big veg

I loved this! Gerald seems like a neat guy. Nice looking potatoes!
I’ve been following another older Brit responsible for the Home Grown Veg channel for the past few years.
I’ve learned a lot from him. My garden is almost all containers/pots, using his methods. My carrots are significantly improved, using his grid pattern strategy. He has a cool dog, too!

I love his enthusiasm about how freshly picked carrots smell, it's something I used to really like when I was young and would pick them from my mothers garden.
And now I want to try growing potatoes in a bucket.

I'm just here waiting for someone to drop some insider knowledge of allotment drama because that stuff is golden.

Nothing about drama in the replies, but it looks like he got a very nice patch.

I’d love to have that little patch. Great looking soil, and just the perfect size for a retired hobbyist gardener.
