Getting people to send money to actually accomplish nothing is a standard practice of minsters and trumpers and fall to see what the crime was in the article. Didn't a trump ad entitle people to magic water or cream?

No, that was a Clinton ad.  And since she was white, she got away with it along with all of those murders.

That's why I'm on my mom's account. I convinced her to NEVER send money to anyone without my say-so, other than legitimate bills. She's a prime target for scammers, lonesome so she'll talk to anybody on the phone & she hates to be rude so she won't just hang up on them.
"But they seemed so nice on the phone"
"Mom, they're trying to steal your money, that's not nice"
"Well, if you say so"

It's trippy, in the 20+ years I've had computers, I've never had a disc drive that worked.  I would get a drive, it would die within a month or so, and I wouldn't replace for 6 months; rinse, repeat.  I swear I put off an aura that kills disk drives.  Clogs toilets too. Use solid state for my hard drives now, so am bypassing the curse.

Stupid CD, DVD, CD/DVD/R's, and other such as.

Sounds like these guys had a good scam going.  I must admire their up front work, it's not easy to convince people to send you money.

However, there tail end work was done poorly, they got caught.

Fraud and theft by deception is usually a crime no matter what ethnicity you are.

Yes, but how you are charged and judged changes dramatically depending on the color of your skin.

The more you eat the more you fart: If you are really stupid enough to send money for something like this, then you deserve to be scammed.

Just like what I tell people when I hold them up. "If you really didn't want to be robbed, you'd be armed, wouldn't you?"

/or we could stop blaming the victim for being victimized

My mom, in the early stages of dementia, and after many talks about the danger's of the internet. Literally have her account info to someone posing as a bank official and immediately lost $20,000.
This was during the time that she was giving multiple reoccurring donations to multiple tea party solicitors... round about $500 monthly....
People are stupid......

Mm, not usually. What's different about skin tone is the amount you're allowed to accumulate before they arrest you.

Before I moved my dad in with us, and he was starting his decline into dementia, he thought all of the charity solicitations he got in the mail were bills and he would put cash in the envelopes and return them. Dad had never given to charity in his entire life. He's been dead 5 years and we STILL get stuff from obscure charities with his name on them.
