Yes, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are now engaged. But don’t worry: They’re approaching the age-old institution in a characteristically freaky way. On January 12, Fox shared a video on Instagram featuring the pair dressed like the coolest goth kids at the prom, with MGK getting down on one knee to propose.

“We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time.

Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma,” Fox wrote in the caption. “Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him.”

(MGK also shared an up-close shot of the ring and a slow motion video of the two falling backwards into a bed covered in rose petals in the shape of a heart.)

Also: “…and then we drank each other’s blood,” Fox wrote.

Fox already wears Kelly’s blood in a necklace, so this seems like a logical next step. They’ve done some vampyric-looking photoshoots together, and given each other matching tattoos that read “The darkest fairytale.” They really have cemented themselves as the couple for the pop punk renaissance of the 2020s.

No word of wedding plans yet, but hopes are high that the couple who gave us “I am weed” will bless us all with a ceremony for the ages.
