If you weren’t able to pick up a Google Home Mini for someone on your holiday shopping list, don’t fret—Google and Spotify are giving them away for free to all Spotify subscribers.
The deal is quite similar to last 2018's free Google Home Mini giveaway from Spotify, but as Android Police points out, this year’s offer is much more generous. Almost all new and existing Spotify Premium and Family Premium subscribers eligible for a free smart speaker, including Spotify Student subscribers, who were excluded from the previous Google Home Mini giveaway.
There are still some rules and restrictions of course. Here’s the quick version:
Users must be an active Spotify Premium Individual subscriber, Family Premium master account holder, or Spotify Student subscriber in order to qualify.
New members who sign up before the promotion runs out are automatically eligible only if they choose to forego their free trial and make their first monthly payment early.
Returning members on a free trial period must also forego their trial period and make a subscription payment before they can claim their free Google Home Mini.
You must be directly subscribed through Spotify; anyone who subscribes through a third-party service—such as their phone carrier or cable/internet provider—are excluded.
You must be on a recurring monthly payment plan. Anyone not using a recurring monthly payment option, or those paying using Spotify gift cards, are not eligible until they change their payment method.
Anyone who has previously received a free Google Home Mini through Spotify cannot redeem this offer.
