Munichtime is an event that is not for press or retailers, but for you, the watch enthusiast or collector. We’ve visited Munichtime ourselves a number of times in the past, and this year we are an official media partner for the first time. We believe in events like this, where the end consumer can (finally) see, touch and try the watches in the flesh and ask questions to the brand’s representatives. Where Baselworld and the Geneva SIHH are typical industry events, Munichtime is an initiative for the consumer.

Munichtime 2018

Approximately 37 brands can be found exhibiting on October 26-28 at the Bayerischer Hof Hotel in Munich. These are: A.Lange & Söhne, Bayerischer Meisterschule für das Uhrmacherhandwerk, Benzinger, Borgward, Bell & Ross, B.R.M, Corum, Cvstos, Czapek, Damasko, Degussa, DGC, Erwin Sattler, Formex, Guinand, Hanhart, Iron Annie, Jean Marcel, Laco, Lang & Heyne, Lehmann, Leinfelder, Meccaniche Orologi Milano, Minase, Montblanc, Mühle Glashütte, Oris, Porsche Design, Seiko, Sinn, Staudt, Stowa, Strom, Tudor, Tutima, Ulysse Nardin, Vintage VDB, Watch Academy, Zeppelin.

Not only that, but there is also a programme with speakers touching very interesting topics. In our opinion, this is definitely added value to most other events. It will give you some insights into the world of watchmaking and collecting, that might bring new ideas to you and help you understand why brands do the things they do or show new angles regarding watch collecting.

Munichtime

Munichtime and the speaker’s programme are free of charge (very important, especially when you are visiting from The Netherlands). Munich airport is fairly easy to reach from all over Europe and there is a big offering on hotels in the area as well. Besides Munichtime, Munich is a great city to visit anyway and has a lot to offer. BMW fans should visit the BMW Welt and Museum for example and if you love a good beer (and schnitzel), there is a great time ahead of you.

This year, our own Gerard Nijenbrinks will be there to report from the Munichtime event.
